pelgrimage 2003
here you see a future collectors item: everybody who went to Bad Camberg in 2003 and pre-inscripted himsself into the BBT convoi going to the pittoresque village of Bad Camberg received a bumper badge like this.
Bad Camberg was great. prices of swap meet items not.
anyway, an old guy living in BC started talking to me after seeing my company sponsered car, asking me if “… i was the son of … living in … “ apparently this guy was in the army with my dad more than 30 years ago!
its a small world…

beware…
Before leaving for Norway, i had the URGE to work on one of the notchbacks, so i decided to go and check the white one, who is stabled with my grandmother. i got the battery charged, and started the engine in a few ticks of the starter. however i smelled a lot of fuel, so i decided to check the fuellines on the car (i did not know what to do else anyway) I was however stupefied to find a jet of fuel squirting on the engine block wiith every pump of the fuel pump. there was a hole in one of the (NEW) fuel lines! So, i was thinking, now you don’ t have to check OLD fuellines, but also NEW ones !
anyway, i am a bit of a freak when it comes to fuellines, please, check them EVERY year or season! fire is a powerfull enemy ! don’t let your sexy carbs burn !
another proof
here is another proof of the existence of a aussi-scheme two tone roof-color. the “cut” is more straight, and not curved like the german scheme. I guess that a white roof is much cooler in the bright sun from down below, and that an investment in the option to have a white rooftop really makes sense … down below.
