after a 1375km (on three days) odissey trough france, i’m home again. i am happy i made it to le mans and back, passing by in deauville to eat some seafood. (that was really exagerrated, but hey …) 1375km of easydriving, and watching clouds come and go over nationales and departementales …
after a week of running around, organising and not being able to take (one!) picture, i really wanna get out of here… i’m off to the land of the wine, the cheese and the long bread :-). cya at the classic le mans. (and i hope to take some pics there !)
the prototype of the EBI scale BUS ! i like it ! get them while they last, we have only a limited supply. we must thank dreams for all their efforts to get this dream possible for us ! and off course, i like the paintscheme/design of the bus, hey mike ???

The Dutch KDC team will set out a cool course and time your laps on a big portion of the old chimay racetrack, more than a Quarter Mile Long!!!

Slalom @ 2nd European Bug-In [July 4,5&6th]
At the 4, 5 and 6th of July, the second European Bug-In will be held at Chimay International Raceway (Belgium). This time, a big slalom competition takes place under control of the Dutch KCD-team. The slalom course is setup at the north-side of the event. It gives you the chance to put you and your car to the limit.
Slalom schedule:
Friday July 4 from 12.00 – 18.00
Saturday July 5 from 10.00 – 12.00 and 14.00 – 19.00
Sunday July 6 from 9.00 – 12.00 and 14.00 – 16.00
Admission prices:
30 euro > weekend
10 euro > 1 day

rain out in budel, but a nice show anyway, we had a nice setup with a naked chick inside our bus (or a very low top?).
i was equally impressed with a new ride inside the untouchable undutchables club … a black notchback, with a very nice interior, and that, my friends is the secret of a nice type three. a nice and good original interior cracks me up. 🙂
and this lady in the professionals area had a great salesstand, selling only "real moemoet" steering wheel covers (buy one for 1euro or 2+1 for free) AND i was amazed how many people bought these knitted toiletroll covers. i got fond memories of a light blue one in my grandfathers lada … we used it as toiletpaper, because there was no toiletpaper anymore … LOL

at this press meet, we also met the people from the motoclassic, and we saw some real nice vintage machinery ! very nice to check out similar ‘hotrod’ techniques as used on our beloved aircooled beetles ! this (belgian) sarolea 350 was a piece of art, it would look nice in any living room as plain ART !
