well, i forgot to warn you guys from out of the belgian country that there would be no post on july 21. On july 21st we do not work in belgium.

Imagine this, being in a traffic jam with only type threes… it happens… in japan! this picture is taken on the 6th TYPE THREE DAY that is organised in japan. djeezes. what a picture. i still can’t believe it ! all these squares and notches and fastys… hmmmmm… everything to make a type three buffer drewl !
 
what the heck, i was planning going over to japan next year, to check out the volkswagen scene, so now i will have to go when there is a type three day.

Several posts down below, i asked if anyone knew teh existence of a moustache mirror… well heer is the answer: yes it exists, and it is the nickname of the rear vieuw mirror of a T34 karmann Ghia (type three edition of the karmann ghia).
 
you can clearly see a french moustache embossed in the metal of the rear vieuw mirror.

This picture was taken at the same volksworld show, at approximatly the same moment. It is teh best nutria square i know. i love the combination of the chrome bumpers, the fuchs wheels and the chrome bumpers !
 
this car is not an S-spec car, so it has only one carburettor and it might be a 1963 model ? to be 100% sure of that, we have to see the dashboard…

i always try to visit the volksworld show in one day:
i leave ninove at 5.00am in the morning,
hammering my newbeetle to the show,
being back home at 11.00pm.

Here is a picture of me and my wife “cutting a corner” during the 2002 ardenne blue rally. it is teh best rally in belgium, in my honest opinion, because it combines sportsmanship with tourism and “cuisine” (very important for me :-))
