This car is very famous.
It was driving around several years ago in another color.
A blue “smurf” color.
 
The guy who bought it now, knows alot of 34-slang, and collects the Type III karmann Ghia, Type 34 or even better “Razor Edge”. He restored the car in good order, with the correct and nicest colors. The wheels stayed the same, and they look the works on this car !

i did not took my 1500S car to Bitburg, ‘cauze my sweet 1500S is not a DAS member.
 
The 1957 big window beetle i cruized down to Bitburg, is in my possession since 1993, and sports a fierce 48IDA-ed 2007cc engine since 1999. I really got a lot of help from all of the club members building my “Little Bastard”. back in 1999 a 2007cc engine was very exotic, and not alot of know-how was available, But it still holds, and after more than 25.000km the engine still runs 15.2 with fan belt and 14.7 without the fan belt. (best time of 14.53 at Santa pod)

i S-spotted this guy and his T shirt on friday evening at the beer tent. We were showing some car orientated DVDs all night long. especially the DVD from the first event, seeing some fierce dragracing action was impressive !
