Red Hot was really inspired by everything he saw on the EBI, and worked his way right trough this excellent drawing. check it out yourself, BUY THE MAGAZINE !!! a nice pair of bays sailing down to dunkerque, real late on sunday evening. i saw my bed at 3.20am. feels like a jetlag now.

getting a roofrack home on a car with a roofrack proves sometimes to be difficult, and needs some thinking before action.

after a holiday in spain, and some busy days of working it was time to head for the vanfest. being a vanfest-virgin i really did not know what to expect. now, IT WAS – IT IS MASSIVE ! apart from the fact that every other show i went to this season was totally soaked, vanfest included, i really enjoyed myself watching all those bus-nutters go crazy. i found out several things.

1. SCOTTY really is a time(warp) traveller … beam me up … scotty

2. NEVER FORGET YOUR “wally’s” (new word for me) our you will have to buy fancy ones at the show itself

3. THE A-TEAM revamped their BUS

4. BRITS KNOW THEIR busses !

thank you all for this wonderfull weekend to all the lovely people i have met, and especially sorry to the lady who had to push my van out of the mud and fell herself in a puddle of 5 inches of mud helping me out.

all of you who hesitate to go to vanfest: get your bus ready for next year … !!!

here is a nice picture of a gettogether of some notchbacks, all members of the 1500 club ! i was amazed when i saw this picture, and would have considered flying over if i knew this was gonna happen … the most funny part is the pink sunroof car of bob walton, or gizmo bob, that is currently going trough a restoration … i will always feel something special for this car as i helped bob buying and shipping this car in his direction ! 

DAS DRAG DAY … don’t forget our annual appointment on 20-21 of sept … the airstrip in Bitburg, Germany will be ready for all aircooled volkswagens to have a try on the super sticky track. get ready, be prepaired, it’s gonna be … HOTTTT !!!
