hmmm… even this magazine had his tour de france ! Gave me some good ideas (and appetite).

One of the highlights for me was the visit of the LC houses near Bordeaux, in Pessac. Built in 1926 … yes, 1926, but still modern !

The DDD9 dashplaques just arrived ! Do you still have some place left on your dashboard ?

so after a fuel fed show and some big piles of paper work, i took the liberty to make a trip i always had in mind … “le tour de france” with my 1971 bus, seeing atlantic ocean and mediterranean coast in France, meanwhile stopping and sightseeing, sipping and (sometimes) spitting (alot) of wine while tasting the wine culture of france.

Meanwhile, we’re hustling to get everything done for the DDD9 … It’s all about racing, but we do have some logistics to take care off … tshirt designs, tents, beertents, beer, music etc etc …

driving trough france, the contactpoints started being welded together, out came the contact points, and in went the electronic devise … no more problems ! read the whole story on http://vintage-autohaus.skynetblogs.be/archive/2011/08/11/visit.html

On my trip trough france, i met up with a guy i knew from home, Christophe and his wife now runs “Le Rebenty” in AXAT and does serve REAL GOOD FOOD and BELGIAN BEERS (and off course Ninove’s finest … WITKAP!). for more info about this aircooled-approved bed and breakfast see http://www.lerebenty.com/

well, to be honest, for me, personally the EBI4 show was a blast, i was happy to see everybody around, to see friends, alltough i didn’t have alot of time to talk to them. But the major reason i tought it was a blast was because i saw everybody was having FFUN !!!

allrighty … let’s get all DRESSED UP ! don’t forget to wear the DRESSCODE: RACING in the 60ies/70ies ! Don’t be afraid … you won’t be the only one dressed up in silly pants / hats, crazy wigs and fake beards n’ moustaches ! π
