the sheer pleasure

Did you allready had the sheer pleasure of having to change the gaskets between your heads and your SKATTRACKs in the engine bay of a 1957 beetle ?
 
Well i had, and i can’t manage…
because of BIG ARMS.
 
Thanx to Nico, the guy from the “DAS MUPPET RACER”
i finally got them changed… thank you 1000 times Nico.
 
In the rear, you see an exquisite 1500N from 1963… hmmmm
awaiting some brake ajustments (yep, still !)
 
 
 

You want big engine

Benoit, from the DAS club, brother from the Muppet Racer sended me an email to tell me he is selling his (big, fat ass) Type 1 engine to finance the building of his next engine. Its a very stout 2276cc engine that puts out 182hp on the dyno bank. The engine consists of very high quality stuff, and is based around a wedgemated cranck. There are also some VERY SEXY N.O.S. in the box ITALIAN 48IDA for sale !
 
Also his gearbox is for sale
 
There are several deals to be made, or you buy the complete engine and gearbox,
or you buy only the shortblok.

wheelstander T3

This wheelstander T3 squareback still seems to exist in California. A wheelstander is made to drive the 1/4m completely with the front wheels in the air.
 
So, you would ask, how can you see the way you are driving ?
very easy: there is a hole in the floor so that the driver can see where he is driving.
quite funny, hu ?
