I drove the 1500 S to Bray dunes in France…
and walked to Belgium and back to france…
on the beach,
in about five minutes.
 
Bray Dunes is standing still in about 1970.
some real old beach villas/houses here, where you still can see
schrapnell inpacts in walls of the buildings from 40/45.
the difference with the Belgian coast is HUGE.

not a 1500S, but what a cutie ! and what a nice car too !

this one isn’t vw1500s related neither, but it shows some (yes more than one samba!) real early volkswagen transporter and microbusses standing at the GroBglockner AlpenstraBe… and check out the blue and grey samba… never saw that colourcombinatiopn before ! (did you see the really old panel with big vw logo on the rear ?)

this is not vw1500s related, but however, it is a very, very old picture from a “wrong” German magazine out of the second “wrong” period of last century. Check out the Kubelwagen, in the center of the picture. picture taken at a crossing over a certain river in Russia. (if anyone is offended by this picture, let me know, i will remove it instantly.)
