The first BUG-IN was held at Orange County International Raceway on October 20th, 1968. The last BUG-IN, #31, took place in October 1983 a couple weeks before OCIR closed its gates for good. Since that time there really hasn’t been a suitable quarter mile drag strip facility in Southern California to support a BUG-IN . . . now that has all changed! VW drag racers, Clyde Berg and Joel Mohr and original BUG-IN promoter, Rich Kimball, have worked out a deal with the California Speedway in Fontana California to bring the BUG-IN back to Southern California on April 10th, 2005.

Presenting sponsor, CB Performance, along with major sponsors FLAT-4, Gene Berg Enterprises, So-Cal Imports, Ventura Warehouse Group and Hot VWs Magazine will be joined by a host of associate sponsors and supporters to make the CB Performance Bug-In 32 the biggest thing in Volkswagens since that last Bug-In in 1983.
